George Yip is the Professor of Marketing and Strategy, and Associate Dean for Executive MBA at Imperial College Business School in London. Previous academic positions include Professor of Strategy and Co-Director of the Centre on China Innovation at China Europe International Business School in Shanghai.
Based in London, Shanghai, and Maine, he is a leading international authority on managing global customers, marketing strategies across continents, and internationalisation.
George's books include Strategic Transformation, Managing Global Customers, and Total Global Strategy, selected as one of the 30 best business books of 1992 and published in ten languages.
Before his current post, George was Dean of Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, which was ranked number 6 in Europe in an academic poll, and he was Vice President and Director of Research & Innovation at Capgemini Consulting, an 8 billion euro global company, where he managed the research and innovation process to develop thought leadership for the company.
He also gained real-world business experience when he worked in product management at Unilever; account management with advertising agency Lintas, and strategic management consulting for Price Waterhouse.
